oooh my! Love me some Jamberry nail wraps!

My Jamberry online Party!

Several Weeks ago, my friend Liz and I were talking about these things called Jamberry Wraps for our nails.  We didn't know much about them but were curious.  Not more than a couple of days later, another friend, Rachel, announced on Facebook that she was going to start selling them and was offering free samples. Yippee!  What a coincidence!  Well she sent me some samples,  which Liz and I tried, and LOVED them!  Here is a picture of her nails with samples and her little girl's fingernails using the Jamberry wraps for kids.....

For Rachel's business launch party I put in an order for some wraps to use for my upcoming art festival (Etsyfest15) to match my Pirate Costume Business.  Here is a picture of my black and white striped nails.... aren't they cute!

I even did my husband's nails in glossy black to match his awesome pirate costume....

As some of you may know, I have limited use of my hands and it is very hard for me to paint my nails or do much of anything requiring fine motor skills.  I was a little worried in the beginning about being able to put them on, but man, after a few minutes of practice, it took no time at all and was so easy..... you can't really screw these up! LOL

The only problem with the nail wraps so far is deciding which ones to buy!  Good thing they are buy 3 get one free!  And from each package, you get several applications.  Mine lasted for over two weeks and that was through housework, gardening, painting, etc.

I am having a party to help my friend Rachel and to get more wraps!  Click on this link to look at the amazing selection and put in your order today!!!  I promise you won't be disappointed in any way, just hooked on Jamberry!

Lifebook 2015 Week 17

Week 17 was with Jenny Wentworth and I adore her style, very loose and beautiful.  I am still not loose enough but I loved playing around with the colors.  Her neck is too thin but, in the end, I am happy overall :-)

Lifebook 2015 Week 18

It has been so long since I've been able to do any Lifebook lessons. It felt good to actually do art for ME :-)  This week's teacher was and we were encouraged to write a letter from our younger selves to the us of now.  Inside the door in this piece is a letter encouraging me to remember to be myself and embrace my uniqueness.  It was a fun page to create using many layers.

Art Journaling SFTIO April 2015 Strong and Soft Cover and Challenge 2

Hello All!  I have been super busy with my costumes that I make for my Etsy shop and getting ready for EtsyFest15 that I have had no time for personal art!  Every month, I get a kit from and I use it for my art journal.  They have special prompts that you can use if you like.  The kits come with scrapbook and mixed media supplies AND she just lowered the price for a subscription :-)  Woo Hoo! Go Rachel!

Anyway, this month's theme is SOFT & STRONG.  I usually do a cover or introduction page about the theme for the month.  Here is mine for this month.......

I haven't had time for the first prompt but the second prompt really sparked my creativity.  My strength is enhanced by my husband.  He helps keep me grounded, especially when I feel like the strong and the soft sides are battling it out.  It reminds me of a song by "The Eels"...... I used the lyrics to emphasize how the struggle between hard and soft is at times.

So EtsyFest15 has come and gone and it really was exciting!  This was my first ever art/craft fair and a learning experience.  I sold my pirate costumes from my Etsy Shop ( ).  The kids LOVED my husband all dressed up and looking like Captain Jack!  They also loved that we had Pirate Plinko which my oldest son ran..... he is just so good with those kids :-)

I also took my mixed media paintings and lots of prints that did better than the costumes!  I am so happy everyone loved them!  You can find those in my etsy shop as well.

If you would like to see more photos of us at EtsyFest15, I have an album on my Facebook page

None of this would be possible without the help of my beloved family.  My husband, my mother, my oldest son, and my step son were fabulous!  I love them all :-)
