Donna Downey's 10x10x10 class work

In the Mixed Media world, Donna Downey is a goddess :-)
She recently had a sale on her workshops so I bought the one I have been wanting to take for a very long time- Working in a series

Here is a glimpse of my work for this class.  I LOVED it and will be doing many more works in a series.  I ran out of canvases so I used what I had on hand....... tiles LOL.  And, I only did a series of 8.  My photography wasn't spot on and is a litle blurry but you can see them fairly well.

Get Messy Art Journal MAGIC prompt set 2

Get Messy Art Journal
Season of Magic
Prompt Set #2

This prompt set was about exploring what magic means to you.  I thought I would look up the actual definition and then create another spread based on my interpretation of that definition.  We examined shiny and bright vs dark and evil as well as play around with stamping.  Here is my take on this art journal prompt set.

Discount Code for My Etsy Shop to raise money for Mitsu

If you are a FaceBook friend of mine, then you know all about my beloved cat Mitzu.  He needs medical treatment and we are trying hard to raise money to help pay for it.  I am doing several things to raise money:

First, I am selling all of my Pirate costumes and Art Prints in my Etsy shop for 20% Off with coupon code PRAYFORMITZU  Just in time for the holidays!  They make great gifts!

Second, for those who would just like to donate a few dollars to help out, I have set up a GoFundMe account in which you can donate to Mitzu's vet bill.  You can also read his story

Third, I am having a yard sale and Art Sale all in one next weekend after Thanksgiving on Saturday, November 28th and Sunday, November 29th at my studio.  Friends and family have donated items to the yard sale in order to help Mitzu and I am selling original art pieces as well as prints.
MessyJessyCreatesArt Studio
1722 Caldwell Street
Conway, AR 72034

I will also create an album on Facebook where you PAY WHAT YOU CAN for some of my art prints.

All Money goes to help pay for Mitzu's medical bill.

Get Messy Art Journaling: Season of Magic- Prompt set 1

The new season of Get Messy Art Journal has begun!  The theme is MAGIC..... yeah!  Magic of the season, Magic every day, Magic everywhere!  The first set of prompts were all about what magic mean to you, using magazine pages to illustrate this, and trying out different styles of lettering besides your own handwriting.

I LOVE the catalog and clothing from and used their newest catalog to help express what magic means to me.

Yeah! I won the design challenge for October's AJP with Tangie Baxter

October's challenge in the Art Journal Pockets Group was using animals in more than one block.  Here is my entry.  It was Tangie's black and white AJP (TB130) sheets that was free for the AJP group and I used colored pencil and water color with a bit of paint marker.  I am very happy with how it turned out :-)

There is still time to get in on the November challenges ........ Let's see what you've got!
