I am sooooooo enjoying my www.bravegirlsclub.com classes and am DYING to go to one of the retreats :-) Ahhhh....... someday..... anywhooooo, here is my first painting for my Wings class.
It's beautiful Jessica. I have heard so much about these classes and the retreat looks absolutely amazing, unfortunately when you can't work you can't afford such luxuries:(. But, as you said, maybe one day. I love the wings.
I signed up for the Journey Into Cardmaking class at Two Peas in a Bucket www.twopeasinabucket.com (it was very inexpensive and you get lots of info and downloads). I also created my very first card (in a looooooong time) for a challenge at http://www.seizethebirthday.blogspot.ca/ where they have weekly/monthly card making challenges and prizes :-) . Check it out...... they are new and just started! Great ideas and motivation for cardmaking :-) I used my two kits that I received a couple of days ago from Studio Calico BLOCK PARTY monthly scrapbooking kit and Project Life monthly scrapbooking kit www.studiocalico.com and Scrapbooking From the Inside Out HARMONY monthly club kit www.scrapbookingfromtheinsideout.com to create this card. ok, computer is having problems so I will post it to Instagram and then send the link here :-) Find me on Instagram if you haven't already....... The past week I have been reading a wonderful book by Brene Brown called "Daring Greatly: How Courage to be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead". http://www.brenebrown.com/ It is a most wonderful book that I highly recommend and is available for the Kindle :-) The basic idea of the book is that people are hard-wired for connection... it's why we are here on the planet. Vulnerability is the core, the heart, the center, of meaningful human experiences. It is uncertainty, risk, and emotional exposure. But, it is a necessary part of being human, being alive. Without these connections and vulnerability, we become disconnected and this leads to depression and suicide and destructive behaviors.
