One of the two themes this month on Tangie Baxter's Art Journal Pockets Challenges was Fantasy and Fairy tales.   I LOVE the free sheet she had for us to use for this challenge.  Here is a sneak peak at what my challenge looks like.   If you would like to join in on the fun and get loads of freebies, check out the Art Journal Pockets Page at  http://shoptangiebaxter.com/collections/art-journal-pockets/Art-Journal-Pockets-*Tangie

Have I told you hust how mych I LOVE Scrapbooking From the Inside Out Kits! http://www.scrapbookingfromtheinsideout.com/buy/kits/true-story-kit/ I should totally be a designer for them- I love them so much!  They have design boards, music play lists, quotes and prompts, etc. Anyway, When I arrived home from my art retreat in Oregon, I had my October kit waiting on me :-)  Yippee!!!!  It is beautiful!  I love the pinks and golds, the butterflies and hearts- it is amazing! They also have art journaling challenges which I LOVE to participate in.  Here are my layouts for Challenges 1 and 2...... Challenge #1 True Story Kit I need three things to help me remember to live my story:  Laugh as much as I can, just be happy- no matter what, and always be myself! Challenge #2 True Story Kit My true inspirational story from the heart

Here is my take on the third challenge for this month's theme- RESTORE.  It is about reconnecting with my aunt Barbara who has MS and I haven't seen in a long time.  I also have neurological issues and so I feel a connection with her and am happy to say that I am planning a family vacation to go and see her this summer.  It is very important to me as she cannot go anywhere and, for now, I sometimes am able.  To my beautiful Aunt Barbara..... http://www.scrapbookingfromtheinsideout.com/buy/kits/restore-kit/

This Month's Theme at  http://www.scrapbookingfromtheinsideout.com/buy/kits/restore-kit/  is RESTORE.  I think that everyone needs to take the time to restore themselves from time to time.  How about now?   Of course, I needed to start a new art journal as I had filled my last one completely full!  I chose a  notebook from Studio C at carolinapad.comI buy mine from Walgreens Pharmacy.  They are about $6 and have an elastic band to keep the chunky journals shut and so many thick pages that you don’t even have to glue them together or gesso them if you don’t want to do anything heavy.  They are good for scrapbooking, art mediums, writing, etc.   Here is the inside cover to my freshly started Art Journal.  I used the packaging that came with the rubons in the kit.... it was a clip board and I glued a Project Life card to it to record the monthly themes included in this journal. The first page of this month's theme for RESTOR...

Here are my feminine and masculine versions for this sketch using my new Close to my Heart supplies!
