Book of Days Week 7 with Effy Wild

Image
Book of Days Week 7 with Effy Wild http://learn.effybird.com/ One Line Portraits and a List of When Things Suck                     I've only drawn a couple of one line drawings and I don't remember liking them too much.  This lesson actually gave me the confidence to try again.  I am happy with the result.  I only used watercolor to paint my drawing and to apply a wash on my "List of When Things Suck".  I may do more of these one line drawings in the future but paint them with acrylics.

Lifebook 2016 Week 19 Wyanne Thompson Lesson http://www.wyanne.com/ http://willowing.ning.com/ It has been a great while since I have had time to actually sit down and do a Lifebook lesson.  Life is busy, and with medical issues on top of life, it's hard to find the time- no matter how much it calls my name.  So, I decided to start with this week's lesson by Wyanne Thompson who also has been dealing with medical issues of her own.  She is a fabulous artist and you really should check out her website listed above.  She is a dear.  This piece is watercolor and Posca Paint Pen.

Last Valentine's Day: The Best Ever

Image
V-Day 2014 was the best of my life.  I shared it with my sweetie ie whom I married this past New Year's Eve in Las Vegas ;-)  One of the reasons that it was the best was because of the gift that he gave to me.  I know that sounds materialistic and shallow but, really, it's not.  You see, he wrote me a poem and read it aloud to me.  In the poem he told me, for the first time, that he was madly in love with me.  I won't be sharing that poem, of course, but what I will share is the painting that I had made for his Valentine's Day gift.  It actually almost did not exist.  Thank goodness for spray fixative!  When I was finished, I left it on my workspace over night.  When I woke up the next morning, it was covered in water!  Standing water!  It was a watercolor painting!  The cat had knocked over my huge jar of paintbrush water trying to steal his favorite wash brush.  Anyway, with a little touch up here and there, it wa...
